Courtney - Youth Program Coordinator

Courtney has been operating the V-crew Youth Centre and building the Valemount Youth Network since April 2024.

Courtney is a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, as well as holds a Diploma in Professional Writing & Communications from MacEwan University.

She never imagined she'd be working with youth or running a youth centre, but it is an incredibly rewarding role. You may see her out and about in Valemount with her husband and two kiddos.

She enjoys listening to heavy metal, caring for animals, working out, reading books, and interacting with youth!

About Valemount Youth Network

What We Do

At Valemount Youth Network, we try to balance offering a relaxed, unstructured space for youth to be authentically themselves and just hang out, as well as planning and facilitating a wide range of programming for youth aged 12-18.

Our Programs

We do our best to listen to the feedback from youth in our community and plan programming in alignment with what they are uniquely interested in and willing to show up for.

Our Team

Our team is made up of one dedicated staff member who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. We will also offer a paid Youth Program Assistant Position for youth from Sept-Dec and Jan-June. It is a great place for youth and adults alike to volunteer and mentor others.
